India concluded its campaign at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with a total of 85 medals. This haul includes 21 gold, 27 silver, and 37 bronze medals.
With this performance, India secured the fourth spot on the medal tally. China, Japan, and South Korea finished ahead of India.
China topped the list, winning a total of 341 medals, including 169 gold. Japan secured 269 medals with 83 golds, while South Korea won a total of 150 medals, including 39 golds.
This marked India's second-most successful outing at the Asian Games. Previously, India had achieved its highest medal count at the Hangzhou 2023 Games, where the Indian contingent won a record 106 medals, including 28 golds.
