China termed road construction in Sikkim sector as valid and said that this construction is being done in the area of China which is neither India nor Bhutan and no other country has the right to interfere in it.
China has indicated that India is opposing Bhutan's efforts to construct road in Donglong of Sikkim region, which has no diplomatic relations with China.
China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Lyoo Kong told the media, ''Donglong comes in the Chinese area. It is undisputed. The Donglong area is part of China since ancient times, not Bhutan."
In response to a question, he said, "India wants to raise issues with this region. I say that this is not a part of Bhutan, nor is it a part of India. So we have a complete legal basis for this. The road construction project of China is valid and within this area it is auspicious activity. No country has the right to interfere in it.''
Targeting India, Lyoo said that Bhutan is a global recognized sovereign country.
He said, "Hopefully other countries will respect sovereignty of another country." The China-Bhutan border is not defined, nor should any third party interfere in this matter nor do any irresponsible acts or rhetoric."
China says that the Sikkim portion of the Indo-China border is prescribed so that India does not have the right to raise objection to road construction. He said that for this reason China had opened Nathula Pass in the Sikkim area for Indian devotees for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra.
Chinese thinkers believe that India has stopped the construction of road from Bhutan. Earlier, China justified the construction of the road in Sikkim and said that according to the China-UK Treaty that took place in 1890, the region inevitably comes in its borders.
In a statement released by Lyoo Kang, it was said that Sikkim's ancient name was 'Zee'. He said, "The area which the Indian Army has raised objection on. According to this treaty, undoubtedly is located towards the border of China. This statement from China came a day after the Chinese Army's allegation of banning the construction of road by the Indian Army. China considers Sikkim of India-China border as its 'sovereign region'. Lu said that both China and India had recognized the Sikkim block of Indo-China border.
He said, "Indian leaders, related documents in the Indian government, a meeting of the Special Representatives of the China-India Border Issue confirmed that both sides had signed the China-UK Treaty in 1890 and Sikkim's China-India borders were instructed to look at the consensus.
The spokesman said, "The compliance of these treaties and documents is international obligation and the Indian side can not escape it."
In a statement issued on Monday night by China's Foreign Ministry, "Indian border guards crossed the border of the Sikkim region of the Indo-China border and entered the Chinese territory and they have stopped the normal activities of the advanced forces of China in the Donglong region, after which China took defensive steps."
Earlier yesterday, Lyoo had said that China had filed a diplomatic protest against India, accusing Indian soldiers of entering Sikkim and calling for urgent withdrawal.
He also said that due to the deadlock, China has stopped Nathula Pass for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

On the other hand, Bhutan has issued a dimarash to the Chinese ambassador and said that he will restore the situation in the region of Dokalam, where Chinese soldiers are building the road on their own will.
China has accused Indian soldiers of violating their limits and asked them to return.
Lu said, "The pilgrimage was stopped as an emergency response to the situation there. I want to say that the atmosphere and circumstances are needed to start pilgrimage."
He said, "Therefore, its entire accountability is from the Indian side and when it will start again, it depends on whether the Indian side improves its mistake or not."

The U.S. Supreme Court has allowed President Donald Trump to partially effect the travel ban on 6 Islamic-majority countries.

Apart from this, the Chinese troops also destroyed two bunkers. During this, there was a confrontation between the soldiers of India and the Chinese army.
PTI, quoting its official sources, said the troops of the Chinese army had stopped the visiting pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar too.
Indian Army soldiers had to struggle hard to stop the Chinese army troops from moving forward in the Indian territory. Indian Army soldiers built human wall along with the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to prevent them.
The witnesses took video and pictures of the incident. Bunkers were targeted at the lalten of the Dakola area by the Chinese army and destroyed them.
A flag meeting was held between senior officials of the two countries on 20th June, but the tension between the two armies remains intact. This is the second time the action taken by the Chinese army in Doca La area. Earlier in November 2008, the Chinese army destroyed the Indian Army's temporary military bunkers in this area.
Recently, pilgrims who went on pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar China did not allow to cross the international border. It was told from the Ministry of External Affairs that devotees who travel to Kailash Mansarovar through Nathula Pass has faced some difficulties. The issue is being negotiated with China.
China did not open the path of Nathula Pass, after which 47 pilgrims had to return.
Although China has kept silence about not allowing the pilgrims yet. China on Monday refused to say why they stopped a group of Indian pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar, and said that the Ministry of External Affairs of the two countries is in touch with this issue.
Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT), which attacked the Indian Army patrol, crossed the Line of Control and included special forces personnel and terrorists. They had a special dagger and camera headband, so that they wanted to record the attack of Poonch district.
Two Indian soldiers had died in the attack on June 22 in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and a member of 'BAT' was killed in response to the Indian Army. Indian Army recovered the body of a member of 'BAT' from there during search and other operations.
A senior official of the Indian Army told PTI, "The body of the infiltrator killed in the action of failure of Bat has been handed over to the local police."
He said, "Weapons, ammunition and other war related goods like special dagger, a headband, a knife, an AK-47 rifle, three magazines, two grenades, besides some clothes and bags have been recovered from there, demonstrates the barbarism of the Pakistanis army."
The officer told that the member of 'BAT' was wearing a headband to record the incident and the incident of killing the soldiers. The forces failed their efforts and one of their members died and the other injured in this counter-action.
He said that it is a matter of investigation whether the camera was connected live to the Pakistani Army institutions across the border. He said, "The data and details of the camera will be investigated."
The official said, "We are sure that another member of 'BAT' has been killed, but his body has been taken along with other members of 'BAT'.
He said, "will never fulfil the nefarious plans due to strict action taken by our soldiers (dismantling soldiers and recording them in camera)."
This is the third incident of Pakistani attack in 600 metres from the Line of Control in Poonch sector by special forces this year. They said that between the heavy firing from Pakistani positions in their posts, the Border Action Team 'BAT' had attacked at around 2 am. A suicide bomber blew himself up near the Grand Mosque at Mecca as police disrupted a plot to target the holiest site in Islam just as the fasting month of Ramadan ends, Saudi security forces said Saturday.
The Interior Ministry said it launched a raid in Jiddah province, as well as two areas in Mecca itself, including the Ajyad Al-Masafi neighborhood, located near the Grand Mosque.
There, police said they engaged in a shootout at a three-story house a suicide bomber, who blew himself up and led to the building's collapse. He was killed while the blast wounded six foreigners and five members of security forces, according to the Interior Ministry's statement. Five others were arrested, including a woman, it said.
Saudi state television aired footage after the raid Friday near the Grand Mosque, showing police and rescue personnel running through the neighborhood's narrow streets. The blast demolished the building, its walls crushing a parked car as what appeared to be shrapnel and bullet holes peppered nearby structures.
The Interior Ministry ''confirms that this terrorist network, whose terrorist plan was thwarted, violated, in what they would have perpetrated, all sanctities by targeting the security of the Grand Mosque, the holiest place on Earth.''
''They obeyed their evil and corrupt self-serving schemes managed from abroad whose aim is to destabilize the security and stability of this blessed country,'' the statement said.
The ministry did not name the group involved in the attack. The ultraconservative Sunni kingdom battled an al-Qaida insurgency for years and more recently has faced attacks from a local branch of the Islamic State group. Neither group immediately claimed those arrested, though Islamic State sympathizers online have urged more attacks as an offensive in Iraq slowly squeezes the extremists out of Mosul and their de facto capital of Raqqa in Syria comes under daily bombing from a U.S.-led coalition.
The disrupted attack comes at a sensitive time in Saudi Arabia as King Salman earlier this week short-circuited the kingdom's succession by making his son, Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman, first in line to the throne. The newly appointed crown prince, 31 years old, is the architect of Saudi Arabia's war in Yemen against Shiite rebels, now stalemated. He has also offered aggressive comments about the kingdom confronting Shiite power Iran.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries have cut diplomatic ties to neighboring Qatar and are trying to isolate the energy-rich tiny country over its alleged support of militants and ties to Iran. Qatar long has denied those allegations.
As the Interior Ministry announced the raid, over 1 million Muslim faithful prayed at the Prophet's Mosque in Medina to mark the end of Ramadan. In July 2016, a suicide bombing there killed four members of Saudi Arabia's security forces. Millions of Muslims from around the world visit the mosque, the burial site of the Prophet Muhammad, every year as part of their pilgrimage to Mecca. The same day in July, separate suicide bomb attacks targeted a Shiite mosque in eastern Saudi Arabia and near the U.S. Consulate in Jiddah.
The Grand Mosque has been the target of militants before, in part as it represents a symbol of the ruling Al Saud family's clout in the Islamic world. King Salman is known as the "custodian of the two holy mosques," a title used by the monarchs before him as well.
In 1979, some 250 militants seized the mosque and held it for two weeks as they demanded the royal family abdicate the throne. When Saudi troops stormed the mosque, the official death toll was 229, including extremists and soldiers.
Bomb blasted in a car parked outside the bank in the capital of Helmand state of Afghanistan. At least 24 people have been killed in this attack in Lashkar Gah city and more than 60 people have been injured.
The attack took place around 12 noon at the local time. State Governor Umar Zak said, "The people in the wounded are civilians and army people. So far no sure number of dead has come out."
The blast happened outside a bank, where people had gathered to take their salary. The capital city is about 550 kilometres away from Kabul. No organization has taken responsibility for this attack so far.
Terrorist attacks through car have increased for the last few months in Afghanistan. On May 31, a suicidal bomb had exploded in a car in Kabul, killing 80 people and injuring 350. The blast happened near the German mission, in which the building of the Indian Embassy located 50 metres away was also damaged.
On March 8, the terrorists attacked the Afghan army's largest military hospital in Kabul. More than 100 people were killed in an encounter with security forces for six hours. The Islamic State took responsibility for the attack.
On 13 March a powerful explosion occurred in a bus. No organization had taken responsibility for the blast. The attack took place when the Taliban accelerated the attacks before the official start of the annual spring festival.
