China Defends Pakistan on Terrorism Issue

China has strongly defended Islamabad on Wednesday after appealing by India and the United States to ensure not use of its land for cross-border terrorism from Pakistan. China has also said that Pakistan is on the 'forefront' in the fight against terrorism and the international community should give proper recognition to it.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang said, "We oppose every form of terrorism. We have also clarified that we are against linking terrorism with any particular country."
They said, "We have to say that Pakistan is standing on the forefront in the fight against terrorism and is making efforts in this regard."
"We believe that international contact should be increased against terrorism and the international community should give full recognition to Pakistan for efforts in this regard," Lu said.
In a joint statement issued after the meeting between US President Donald Trump and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, an appeal was made to Pakistan that it will not use its land for terrorists to attack other countries.
In the statement, appealed to bring justice to the court the conspirators of Mumbai, Pathankot and other terrorist attacks on India from the cross border.
