TVs, washing machines and fridges will be expensive from December

Buying TVs, washing machines, fridges and home appliances can be expensive in India by December. This increase will be done by the companies that manufacture sustainable consumer goods. The cost of these products has increased with the decline in rupee against the dollar and the increase in customs duty. In view of falling sales, the companies have borne the burden of increased costs rather than customers themselves. But, from next month, they are preparing to increase the price of these goods by seven to eight percent.

Panasonic India is ready to increase the prices of its products by 7 percent, while some other companies have already increased prices.

Manish Sharma, president and chief executive officer of Panasonic India, said that in the last few months there has been a decline in the rupee, which has its effect on cost. We tried very hard to bear the burden of the cost of the increased cost for the customers, but considering the market conditions, we have to increase prices by 5 to 7 percent from next month.

Higher India President Eric Brugenza said that we have ensured that the increase in prices after the festive season in India will be effective as people in the festive season buy large quantities of sustainable consumer goods. The festive season starts in India with Onam and ends with Dipavali after Dussehra. During this one-third of the total sales of the industry is achieved during the festive season.

However, there is no plan to amend the prices of companies like Sony currently. A spokesperson for Sony India said that we do not have any plans to amend the price of our TV.

Bank employees worried even after two years of notes ban

Even after two years of notes ban, no payment was made in lieu of working for the bank employees till late at that time. Employees paid money to people from their pockets during notes ban but government did not pay that money to employees and they are still helpless. The National Organization of Bank Workers (NOBW) has described this problem.

Ashwani Rana, vice president of this organization of bank employees, said, "The pain of notes ban has been taken by everyone. Its worst hit is on the bank staff. They worked in banks till late in the night. They did not get the leave and they lost their money, they were filled with their pockets, but the sad fact is that even after two years have passed, they have not been paid for their extra work.''

Rana said, "Not only overtime, the employees' wages agreement should have been implemented from 1 November 2017, it has not yet happened. The Indian Bank Association held a number of meetings for it but proposed only six percent increase, which is very low and shameful.
