In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud accused Yemen's Ansar Allah Houthis of destabilising the region and disrupting navigation in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait, a waterway historically used by people fleeing conflict in Yemen to reach Somali ports.
Mohamud said he would have liked to see a united, peaceful Yemen working toward its own future, but argued the Houthis are not capable of delivering that, saying they have shown they are not inclined toward harmony or peace.
