The election campaign will end on Saturday for the first phase of Chhattisgarh assembly elections. The Congress President said that he wants Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh to become the center of agriculture in five years and provide food, fruits and vegetables to the country.
Rahul blames on the Modi government and said, "In the last four-five years, the Central Government has given Rs 3.5 lakh crore to 15 most wealthy people. While running the MNREGA scheme in the country, 35,000 crore rupees per year is needed, they have waived ten times the amount of 15 selected industrialists.
Rahul said that the Central Government has given the key to the treasury to 15 selected people, but the Congress wants to give this key to the farmers, youth, the poor, women and tribals. He said that under the 15-year rule of BJP, 40 lakh youth are unemployed, tribal land is being given to industrialists, vacant posts of teachers, most of the land has no irrigation facilities. People from other states are being given employment here. We'll stop it. People of Chhattisgarh will get jobs and give land to landless people.
He said that the Central Government gave Rs 3,50,000 crore to his industrialists friends, but the farmers of Chhattisgarh did not get any help. They did not fulfill any promises made in the last four-and-a-half years. We promised a loan exemption for the farmers of Punjab. We have done this.
Rahul said that if we come to power, we will forgive the farmers' debt in 10 days and we will also fulfill the promises made by BJP. He said that lakhs of youth are unemployed, the farmers are not getting the right money for their crops. There is no industry in Bastar. He said that if we win then we will open a food processing unit in every block so that your sons and daughters will get employment.
It is worth mentioning that for the 90-member Chhattisgarh assembly, two phases will be held on November 12 and 20. Polling for the assembly in Madhya Pradesh will be held on November 28. The election results will be announced on December 11.
