Mike Pompeo to Saudi Arabia: 'Gulf unity is necessary'
New US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has underscored the need for unity in the Gulf region, as he visits the Middle East, to musteri support for new sanctions against Iran.
Speaking in the Saudi capital, he urged the kingdom and its allies to resolve an almost year-long blockade of Qatar that US officials say Iran is exploiting to boost its regional influence.
