Macron makes case for new Iran deal after meeting Trump
France has proposed negotiating a new deal with Iran that builds on the 2015 agreement to curb its nuclear programme.
President Emmanuel Macron made the pitch to US President Donald Trump, who is threatening to pull out of the deal.
Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett reports from Washington, where Macron is on a three-day state visit.
